What is a composite door?

Composite doors are an increasingly popular type of exterior door, made from a combination of materials including wood, PVC, foam, laminate and GRP (glass reinforced plastic) or fibreglass that are bonded under high heat and pressure. What are the benefits of using composite entrance doors?
