More information about Cavity Liners & Air Bricks
What are air bricks and what types do we have available?
Air bricks are used in construction to allow proper ventilation and airflow for homes that have suspended floors, such as basements and crawl spaces.
Specially designed to improve the air circulation through walls and subfloors, air bricks have perforated or latticed surfaces to allow air in while keeping insects, birds or rodents out. Using air bricks is especially important in areas of high humidity or where controlling moisture is a top concern. Air brick vents not only regulate airflow, but temperature and humidity too, helping to reduce damp, condensation, mould and rot.
We’ve got a good variety of clay air brick vents, also known as brick weep vents or ventilation bricks, available to browse from. Depending on the aesthetics of your customer’s home, you can choose from terracotta air bricks, buff air bricks and more to blend seamlessly into the outer walls.
The Cavibrick Air Brick is a high-performance cavity wall air brick with a louvred design and a built-in air brick cover and insect screening, helping to provide better ventilation and doubling as a barrier for insects. The telescopic design of the Cranked Telescopic Air Vent allows the air brick to run vertically through the brick structure, allowing a clear airflow passage to suspended floors.
Our range of cavity liners
Cavity liners are used alongside air bricks to provide a bridging duct across cavity walls and allow much needed ventilation, preventing the build-up of gas or damp.
We’ve got some terracotta cavity liners available to purchase that are suitable for both new-builds and home refurbishments, including our 215 x 215mm Cavity Liner and the smaller 215 x 65mm Cavity Liner depending on the size of the air brick.
