What is OSB Sterling board?

OSB board, which stands for Oriented Strand Board, is a versatile sheet material used in a wide variety of construction projects. OSB, also called OSB sheathing, is an engineered wood sheet created from many strands of wood that are compressed under high pressure and bound together with adhesives (wax and resin) in several layers. The different wood strands in this building board are strategically oriented in varying directions to maximise the board’s stiffness, strength and durability.

OSB sheets are used in many construction and renovation projects such as subflooring and flooring underlay, sheathing, wall and roof decking and boarding. This board is especially suited to load-bearing and challenging conditions, providing a structurally sound base for several building applications.
