MDF Architrave
More information about MDF Architrave
What are the benefits of using MDF architrave?
If you’re looking for stylish, architectural mouldings to add the perfect finishing touch to interior rooms, we’ve got a selection of high-quality MDF architrave available. Architrave is a decorative moulding that frames the outside of doors, windows, openings and cupboards to hide the joint between the wall, as well as adding aesthetic value. MDF (medium-density fibreboard) is a versatile, popular engineered wood material used for mouldings, joinery and much more. MDF architrave and skirting offers many great benefits and advantages over other materials.
MDF is a highly durable material that is resistant to warping, splitting and swelling, as well as dents, scratches and marks when compared to some other wood architraves. It’s also incredibly versatile and simple to work with and install – it’s often sold in longer lengths that can be cut to size and drilled or nailed with ease, reducing waste and saving time and money on the job site. MDF is a cost-effective alternative to other materials such as solid wood as it is usually cheaper but is still hard-wearing and long-lasting.
What types of MDF architrave profiles do we have available?
We’ve got plenty of primed MDF architrave available to browse, with a smooth and consistent appearance. Our MDF lengths are primed white, meaning they’re ready to be stained, varnished or painted to whatever your customer’s preference may be and do not require any sanding or filing, saving you time and resources for the job at hand.
We’ve got an excellent variety of MDF architraves to choose from, depending on the finished look your customer is looking for in their rooms. If you’re after something more traditional and timeless, there’s ogee MDF architrave with a conventional ‘S’ shaped profile, or MDF torus architrave with a curved semi-circle running across the top.
If you’re looking for a more modern architrave, we stock bullnose MDF architrave with a simple rounded design, and chamfered MDF architrave with a more angular profile.
As well as MDF architrave profiles, we have architrave and skirting available in other materials too depending on your budget, your customer’s preference, and the job at hand. Choose from hardwood architrave, softwood pine architrave or oak veneer architrave, or if you’d prefer plastic architrave over wood, we’ve got a selection of uPVC architrave too.
