More information about Wire Fencing Rolls & Panels

Whether you’re looking to secure enclosures holding livestock or pets, provide protection for plants and crops, or if you just want to section off different areas within a garden, we’ve got a range of wire fencing and wire mesh for you to choose from.

What wire fencing do we have available?

Our wire fence rolls, also called wire mesh rolls, come in a variety of sizes and can be cut to whatever shape and size your customer needs. Or you can opt for wire fencing panels, also known as wire mesh panels, which come in pre-cut sizes. Whichever option you choose, both wire rolls and panels are great for fencing, cages, aviaries, crop protection, plant support and much more. Our wire mesh and chicken wire is made from highly durable galvanised steel.

Barbed wire, such as our galvanised barbed wire, can be applied to walls and fences and is used as a deterrent against intruders into secure areas. Designed to keep animals and people out, barbed wire is suitable for a variety of agricultural, domestic and commercial applications.

All the equipment you need to install wire fences under one roof

Along with wire mesh or wire net rolls and panels, we also stock accessories you might need to complete the job. We have netting stakes available in both 1200mm and 1500mm which are used to erect wire fencing or cages and are spiked at one end to allow for easy driving into the ground. We also have barbed wire brackets to make it easier to install and position your barbed wire.

FAQs

Can I put barbed wire on my fence?

It’s not recommended to put barbed wire on your fencing as you could be liable if it causes injury, but it is legal in the UK for you to put barbed wire on fences that are on your property and not in public places.

How do I attach wire fencing to wooden posts?

To attach your wire fencing to a wooden fence post, the best way is to drill pilot holes into the posts to prevent splitting before attaching the wire fence to the post with wood screws. You could also use panel clips, fence staples, hoop nails or heavy gauge wire to attach the wire mesh.

How do I attach wire fencing to concrete posts?

To attach your wire fencing to a concrete fence post, you can use eye bolts and tensioning wire to attach the mesh to the concrete post, using cable ties to secure the wire fencing to the tensioning wire.

How do I tighten fence wire?

To tighten your wire fencing, you can use a pair of pliers to twist the wires, or you can wrap the wire around itself and use a lever to twist it tight. Other common tools to help tension a wire fence include a fence stretcher or tensioning wire.

How do I cut fence wire?

Depending on the diameter and the strength of the wire fencing you’re using, you could use scissors, a wire cutter, bolt cutter or fencing pliers. Make sure to always wear the appropriate safety equipment, such as safety goggles and heavy-duty gloves.
