Timber sheet materials are types of wood that are manufactured into large, flat sheets. Depending on the type of sheet wood, they can be used in an enormous range of building, construction and crafting applications. The job at hand will determine the type of wood you need to be using – factors such as your customer’s budget, the environmental conditions, and the durability or finished appearance required will all influence which sheet timber you need to be working with.
We’ve got a fantastic choice of wood sheet materials in various lengths, widths, thicknesses, strengths and finishes.
MDF sheets
Medium Density Fibreboard (MDF) is made from compressed wood fibres and resin that are cut into dense, uniform sheets. MDF has a smooth appearance and finish that makes it an ideal material for cabinetry, furniture making and other projects where an attractive decorative finish is needed.
OSB board
OSB (Oriented Strand Board) is formed by layering strands of wood and bonding them with resin. Our selection of OSB Sterling boards is a fantastic choice for different sheathing, subfloor and roofing applications.
Plywood sheets and boards
Plywood is a highly versatile sheet material that is made from several layers of wood veneer that are rotated by 90° every layer, and this cross-graining gives the wood exceptional strength and durability. We’ve got a great assortment of general-purpose and marine plywood available.
Chipboard
You can browse our selection of chipboard sheets that are ideal for flooring, loft panels and general-purpose joinery. Our chipboard is made from compressed wood chippings, sawdust and shavings.
Hardboard
Hardboard, also known as high density fibreboard (HDF), can be used in furniture making, wall panelling, flooring and much more. Our range of hardboard sheets are lightweight but highly durable and resistant to warping and splitting.
Fibreboard
Fibreboard is created from an assortment of wood chippings, sawdust, paper, cardboard and plant fibres – it's a cost-effective material that can be used for cabinetry, sheathing or noticeboards.
