More information about Architrave
Looking for door architrave or window architrave?
If you’re decorating an interior room and looking for the perfect finishing touches to complete the space, you might be on the lookout for some high-quality decorative architrave. Architrave, like skirting, is a decorative architectural moulding and is often used to frame windows, doors, built-in cupboards and appliances, and loft hatches. Architraves conceal the joint between the wall and the casing, such as the door surround, as well as hiding any shrinkage or movement. Not only does it conceal and protect the joint, but it adds aesthetic value too, helping to create a tidy, finished look for the interior room.
Architrave and skirting boards are available in a wide variety of stylish profiles and designs for you to choose from including torus, bullnose and much more. Each type of architrave will influence the character of the room, helping to bring the overall finish off the room together. They’re easy to work with, from installation to maintenance, with various materials available including uPVC, MDF or other wooden architraves that can be wiped clean.
We’ve got a fantastic range of architrave styles to choose from, whether you’re looking for a traditional design or something more modern. There’s various heights and thicknesses to browse too. Whatever you’re looking for, we’re sure we’ve got something for every project at Selco.

Architrave materials
Whether you’re after plastic or wood architrave, we’ve got several different materials to choose from depending on the job at hand and your customer’s preferences. Our wooden architrave range includes MDF architrave, hardwood architrave, softwood architrave and oak veneer architrave.
Our MDF architrave range includes plenty of primed, white architrave in every kind of profile, made from hard-wearing MDF wood. Our hardwood architrave is made from durable red hardwood and our softwood architrave is created from high-quality, precision-finished pine. For a more cost-effective alternative to solid wood, our oak veneer architrave is made from durable MDF with a real wood veneer.
We’ve got some uPVC architrave available too, which is a great low-maintenance alternative to working with wood.
