Our in-branch sheet material cutting service is a convenient way to get your materials cut down, so they’re easier to handle and transport to your job.
Our vertical panel saw makes light work of cutting any sheet materials bought in branch. We offer the first two cuts completely free of charge, with any additional cuts costing £1 per cut.
Sheet Materials We Can Cut:
At Selco, we’re a well-established building and timber merchant stocking a huge selection of responsibly sourced timber and sheet material products from well-managed forests. We supply a range of sheet materials, including chipboard, hardboard, plywood and OSB, as well as plenty of timber types, such as treated timber, CLS timber, skirting and architrave.
We can cut any sheet materials using our vertical panel saw, including:

All the trade services we offer in our branches are designed to get you back to the task at hand as quickly as possible, and our sheet material cutting service is no different.
We have sawmills available in all Selco branches with our trained sawmill operators always on hand to help.
We can only offer our cutting service on materials purchased in branch.
The first two cuts are free. We charge £1 per additional cut.
Our cutting service is not a bespoke cutting service. Unfortunately, we're unable to cut sheet materials sheets to specific measurements for your project.
We can cut hardboard, chipboard, OSB, MDF, kitchen worktops, plywood, sundeala board, door blanks, pegboard and T&G flooring.
We are not able to cut plasterboard, doors, fence panels and thick structural timber.
We cut all sheet materials purchased in branch with our vertical panel saw.
We can cut sheet materials with the following minimum and maximum dimensions:
- Minimum cutting size (with workpiece fitted): 500mm x 230mm (L x H)
- Minimum cutting size (w/o workpiece fitted): 500mm x 400mm (L x H)
- Maximum cutting size: 3100mm x 1644mm (L x H)
- Maximum cutting depth: 60mm
