Everything you need to install a fence post
Fence post support: spikes and shoes
Make sure your fence posts are secured firmly into the ground with our drive-in Fence Post Spike. Fence post spikes can be easily driven into the ground to install fencing, gazebos, pergolas and other garden structures, and require no digging or concreting, saving you on time and cost. You can also use a Fence Post Driving Tool which will protect the post spike when hammering it into the ground.
Or, if you’re looking to install fence posts flush to hard surfaces such as concrete, we have some fence post shoes to choose from. We offer either concrete-in or bolt-down post shoes, both of which provide firm, long-lasting support.
Fence post accessories
We have a range of other fence post supports and accessories to choose from, including a Fence Post Extender, which is great for extending timber fence posts and adding decorative trellis or panels without the need for any fixings. Our accessories include different clips and brackets for arris rails, fence panels and posts, and gravel boards.

FAQs
What are the benefits of using fence post spikes?
Fence post spikes are designed to be driven into the ground so you can easily install fence posts for fencing, gazebos and other garden structures without the need for digging or concreting, helping you to save on materials, cost and time.
How do I put in a fence post spike?
Drive your metal fence post spike into the ground using a post driving tool, making sure to keep it straight. When the spike is in the ground and the metal box is the only thing visible, insert the bottom of the fence post and hit it with a sledgehammer to drive it in. Check the type of fence post spike you’re using, as some require you to tighten bolts on either side of the fence post.
Can you concrete in a fence post spike?
A fence post spike is usually used in replacement of concrete, to save on time, money and materials, so there is no need to use fence post concrete alongside it. If you’d like to concrete your fence posts into the ground, you can use fence post shoes which are designed for that purpose.
How do I remove a fence post spike?
You can dig down into the soil around the fence post spike to break up the ground around it, then rotate/wiggle the fence post back and forth until the spike breaks free and you can pull it out.
How do I get fence post spikes straight?
The best way to make sure your fence post spike is going in straight is to constantly check its level each time you hit it in. Use a spirit level to guide you – there are many post spirit levels designed for this purpose.
