Flush Doors
More information about Flush Doors
What are internal flush doors?
If you’re browsing for some brand-new internal doors, your customer might prefer either panelled or flush doors. The difference between a panel door and a flush door is that internal panel doors have recessed or raised panels that divide the door into sections and create a more traditional appearance, such as with shaker-style doors. Flush doors, however, have no panels or mouldings on the door, with a flat, slab-style surface that sits flush to, or in line with, the door frame and wall.
Your customer might opt for a flush door because of its simple and modern appearance, without detailing or adornments to take attention away from the rest of the room. They’re also much easier to clean than panelled doors – the smooth, flat surface is easier to wipe down without the need to get in between any grooves or edges of panels.
What kinds of interior flush doors do we have available?
At Selco, we’ve got a variety of interior flush doors to browse through in various materials, sizes, colours and styles. Choose between hardboard, plywood and oak veneer depending on your customer’s preference. Internal plywood doors are a popular option as they provide a natural wood look whilst being engineered to be hard-wearing and durable. Our selection of plywood flush doors is a cost-effective choice with a grained finish that can be stained or painted to suit any space.
Alongside ply flush doors, we have other wooden flush doors depending on the job requirements and your customer’s ideal design - you’ll need to consider elements such as levels of fire-resistance, thermal insulation, and overall style.
If you’re after white flush doors, we stock hardboard doors that are white primed and ready to be painted immediately. Or if you’re looking for oak flush doors and oak veneer flush doors, we have plenty of solid core flush doors with high-quality oak veneer on either side. Many of our flush doors also double as fire doors, which are designed to slow the spread of fire and provide 30 or 60 minutes of fire resistance.
