EXETER JUNIOR TEAMS CHASE FOOTBALL BONANZA
March 23rd, 2023Members of a junior football club in Exeter will have the chance to get a taste of life as a professional footballer after a special competition was launched.
The initiative will offer one lucky team the chance to be trained by Exeter City’s coaches at the club’s new £3 million Cliff Hill Training Ground, as well as receiving 15 tickets for City’s final League One home game of the season against Morecambe on Sunday, May 7.
The Grecians and club partner Selco Builders Warehouse have joined forces to offer the exciting prize which will see City’s elite coaches deliver their insight and expertise to young players in an exclusive one-hour training session.
Exeter City assistant manager Kevin Nicholson and the rest of the first team coaches will be on hand to deliver the session, with manager Gary Caldwell in attendance to meet the winning team, who will also receive new kits for the 2023-24 season.
The competition is open to any boys or girls’ team playing in a recognised league at any age group between under eights and under 15s in or around Exeter. Entries can be made by filling in the form online before midnight on Monday April 10.
Gary Caldwell said: “As a management group, we are really looking forward to working with the winning team and inviting them down to our fantastic new training facility.
“Grassroots football is where it all began for every professional player and it’s fantastic to have the chance to give something back.”
